Our Workplace Health, Safety and Rehabilitation Policy is based on the belief that the well-being of people employed at work, or people affected by our work, is a major priority and must be considered during all work performed on our behalf.
People are our most important asset and their health and safety is our greatest responsibility. The public shall be given equal priority to that of our employees and subcontractors.
The objectives of our Safety Policy are:
• To achieve and maintain an accident-free workplace, to be defining measurable objectives and targets so as to be able to demonstrate continuous improvement towards that end.
• To make health & safety requirements an integral part of every managerial and supervisory position.
• To ensure health & safety is considered in all planning and work activities.
• To involve our employees and subcontractors in safety-related decision making processes through regular communication, consultation and training.
• To provide a continuous program of education and learning to ensure that our employees work in the safest possible manner.
• To minimize hazards in the workplace through hazard identification, risk analysis / assessment and appropriate controls.
• To ensure potential accidents / incidents are controlled and prevented.
• To provide effective injury management and rehabilitation for all employees.
The success of our health & safety management is dependent on:
• Pro-active planning of work activities with due consideration given to implementing WHS controls that are suitable to each given situation.
• Understanding all work processes and controlling associated WHS risks.
• Ensuring our work team is committed to achieving our safety objectives.
• Ensuring that open and honest communication exists between management and all employees and subcontractors.
• Maintaining our understanding of the statutory requirements for Fire Engineering System’s compliance.
Fire Engineering Systems Pty Ltd offers its clients certified fire protection systems installed to their specifications.It is our policy to conduct our business in such a way that our clients can be confident we will consistently meet or exceed their expectations.
To achieve this we have established an integrated management system satisfying AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008 ‘Quality management systems – Requirements’.
All our personnel are trained and committed to performing their tasks in accordance with this system.
We will seek and maintain certification under these Standards, so that:
• our customers can always have confidence in us,
and we know how effectively we are meeting their expectations;
• our personnel understand and share the quality standards we aspire to;
• our suppliers know our expectations of them;
• we know how effectively we are achieving our business and quality objectives;
• we can continually improve our system and our performance.
Our management system is regularly reviewed so that we can respond to changing conditions and customer needs, and always be positioned to improve.
It is the responsibility of all of us in Fire Engineering Systems Pty Ltd to play our part in maintaining and uplifting the performance standards we have chosen.
Our Environmental & Sustainability Policy is based on seventeen years of experience in the fire protection industry. We are always open to learning new and improved ways to protect the environment in which we work.
The objectives of our Environmental & Sustainability Policy are:
• To adhere to relevant prevailing statutory requirements.
• To comply with site-specific environmental requirements.
• To prevent chemicals, and/or foreign materials from interacting with the work area.
• To reuse, rethink, and recycle whenever possible.
• To leave every site in the same or better condition than when we arrived.
• To review the Environmental Policy annually, and assess the success of its performance against nominated targets.
The success of environmental protection is dependent on:
• Pro-active planning of work activities with due consideration given to implementing environmental controls that are suitable to specific sites.
• Understanding all work processes and controlling associated potential environmental hazards.
• Ensuring our work team is committed to achieving our environmental objectives.
• Ensuring that open and honest communication exists between management and all employees and subcontractors.
